Carnage #9
Part of the 30th anniversary celebration of one of Marvel's most unsettling villains, Carnage #9 arrives with a cover by Kendrick "Kunkka" Lim that is genuinely hard to look away from — a massive, grotesque Carnage looms forward, his symbiote form splitting apart to reveal a half-consumed human face beneath a field of cryptic runic symbols. The "Godmaker" chapter promises Ram V and Francesco Manna pushing this series into dark, ritualistic territory, and Erick Arciniega's deep reds and sickly teals give the whole image an oppressive, otherworldly weight. If you've been following this run, issue #9 looks like a compelling turn toward something even more sinister.
