“Circus Girl”

In "Circus Girl," Laura’s trust in her fiancé, actor Guy Talbot, is tested when she catches him sharing a moment with co-star Brigit LaFrance on set. Tensions rise as Brigit’s playful barbs and unexplained closeness with Guy leave Laura questioning everything—especially when she storms to Brigit’s apartment in a fit of jealousy. But what she discovers there turns the situation on its head, revealing a secret that changes how she sees both Brigit and Guy. Written and illustrated by Don Sherwood, this 1969 Charlton romance blends drama and surprise in a story that’s as sharp as it is tender, with a cover by Sherwood that captures the moment’s electric tension.

Laura is engaged to actor Guy Talbot, but feels his kiss on camera with actress Brigit LaFrance is more than acting. Guy professes that Brigit doesn't really care for him, but Brigit continues to irritate Laura with her insinuations. When Laura thinks that Guy is with Brigit in her apartment, she decides to go there to tell her off. However, Brigit is with her own husband, Gaston. Laura learns that Brigit had told Guy about her husband and two kids before the movie started. Guy hopes that Laura has learned her lesson.
