When a robot intelligence warns Captain Science that a threat is hurtling toward Earth from the future—originating from the frozen depths of Pluto—he and his assistants Rip and Luana race across the solar system to confront the danger at its source. Landing on the desolate Plutonian surface, they breach the fortress of Throm and uncover a time machine poised to unleash devastation on humanity. Captain Science must navigate both the alien world's lethal cold and the cunning of beings determined to use the machine's power to invade Earth—all while time itself becomes the enemy.
