Captain Midnight #50
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeA milestone fiftieth issue from Fawcett, this 1947 entry puts Captain Midnight front and center in his striking red flight suit, squaring off against hulking, wide-eyed moon creatures on an alien lunar surface — with Earth itself glowing in the starfield behind him and a sleek aircraft streaking across the upper sky. The cover tagline promises "Space Sovereign Battles the Moon Creatures," and Charlie Tomsey's cover art delivers that premise with real energy and color. Inside, writer Bill Woolfolk and artist Leonard Frank take the Captain on another adventure in "Captain Midnight Spikes the Sun Gun!" — making this a fine snapshot of Golden Age sci-fi heroics at their most imaginative.
