Joe Miller

Joe Miller auditions for a theatrical production in this two-page humor story, where his natural wit and knack for comedy keep landing him unexpected laughs—much to the exasperation of a theater director seeking serious actors. When Joe's jest book follows him to the audition, his deadpan wisecracks about dueling, monkey acts, and audience seating become the talk of the casting call. A lighthearted showcase of the joker's irrepressible humor in the face of theatrical ambition.
