Captain Marvel Adventures #99
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis is the back cover (or interior page) of Captain Marvel Adventures #99, dated August 1949 from Fawcett Publications — and what makes this particular copy especially special is the bold ink signature of Otto O. Binder, dated 1-11-70, lending a personal piece of comics history to the issue. Binder, of course, was one of the most prolific writers behind the Big Red Cheese's golden age adventures, and his autograph here connects directly to that era. With C. C. Beck handling both pencils and inks on the cover, this August 1949 issue — featuring the story "Airtown, U.S.A." — is a fine snapshot of Captain Marvel at the height of his Fawcett run.
