From Fawcett's October 1952 lineup, this issue of Captain Marvel Adventures announces its premise right on the cover: "Captain Marvel Battles the Seven Deadly Sins!" C. C. Beck's cover art captures the World's Mightiest Mortal mid-punch — a thunderous "BAM!" erupting as he smashes one of the looming, hulking stone-like Sin creatures, with several more of the grotesque figures crowding in from every angle. It's a wonderfully energetic image that makes the sheer odds against our hero feel genuinely daunting, and Beck's clean, expressive linework gives the whole scene a satisfying punch — literally.
