Captain Marvel Adventures #131
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeCaptain Marvel Adventures #131 brings Fawcett's "World's Mightiest Mortal" face-to-face with some seriously buzzing danger — the cover by C. C. Beck shows the red-and-gold-suited hero lunging toward a crackling, sparking device on the ground, exclaiming his trademark "Holy Moley!" while two startled bystanders watch nervously from a doorway. The banner promises three stories inside, including the atomic-age intrigue of "Station WHIZ Gets Atomic Power," a Captain Marvel and the Fish Folk adventure, and Mr. Tawny's Quest for Youth. With Otto Binder writing and Beck's clean, expressive linework throughout, this April 1952 issue is a fine snapshot of the Big Red Cheese at the height of his Fawcett run.
