Marking Captain Marvel's 100th solo adventure in the mighty Marvel manner, this December 2014-dated milestone issue wears its celebratory spirit right on its sleeve — or rather, its cover. David López's artwork captures Carol Danvers punching skyward in her red-and-blue uniform, surrounded by a dynamic collage of allies including Ms. Marvel, a blonde woman, a man in military gear, and a soldier figure, alongside smaller vignettes of past Captain Marvel incarnations in flight. Writer Kelly Sue DeConnick and her artistic collaborators — Marcio Takara, Laura Braga, and colorist Lee Loughridge — helped shape this era of Carol's adventures, and issue #10 of this volume frames that centennial with genuine warmth and old-school Marvel flair.
