“Vampire State Part Two”

In "Vampire State Part Two," Spitfire finds herself trapped under Dracula’s thrall as he unveils his moon base and dark ambitions for England, forced to carry out acts she never imagined. Meanwhile, the MI13 team races to expose vampire infiltrators in government ranks, turning to Blade and the mystical skull of Quincy Harker for answers—only for Dracula to strike directly at their last line of defense. Written by Paul Cornell and illustrated by Leonard Kirk, with inks by Jay Leisten and colors by Brian Reber, this issue’s cover by Stuart Immonen captures the escalating dread.

Spitfire has been put unwillingly under Dracula's control and he takes her on a tour of his moon base and explains his plan for taking over England. She is also forced to kill and feed on an innocent victim. Back on earth, the MI13 team roots out vampires who have infiltrated the government. Blade takes the team to see the skull of Quincy Harker, a magical artifact that keeps uninvited vampires out of England. Unfortunately, Dracula has been tracking them and shows up to destroy the skull.
