Captain Battle #5

Captain Battle undertakes a naval mission involving a Japanese fishing boat, discovering something suspicious in its hold before diving to investigate further. Thompson and an aide named Bob Stewart infiltrate a criminal organization led by a man posing as Major Davis, who is orchestrating gang murders and an uprising planned for the following day using machine guns and incendiary bullets. In a separate story, Eduardo Donati becomes entangled with mobster Tony Caretti and "the Snake," a criminal whose scheme involves impersonating a wealthy man to extort money, but Captain Battle's undercover agent thwarts the plot and gathers evidence for Detective Phil Barrows to arrest Donati for conspiracy to murder.
