Captain Atom #4

Part of DC's New 52 initiative, this February 2012 installment of Captain Atom puts the silver-skinned hero front and center as he channels a swirling orb of atomic energy from his chest, white flame trailing from his head like a comet's tail. Behind him, a massive fire-wreathed figure looms through walls of flame, setting up a confrontation that feels genuinely elemental in scale. Stanley "Artgerm" Lau's cover art balances cool metallic tones against a furnace of oranges and reds with striking effect.
