About this Collection

This collection from Marvel's 2011 'Captain America: Man and Wolf' series pits Steve Rogers against a shadowy conspiracy involving the Man-Wolf, John Jameson. The story delves into Captain America's past and his uneasy alliance with Wolverine as they confront the villainous Doctor Nightshade and a plot that threatens to unleash a werewolf army. The volume collects issues #1-5 of the limited series, blending espionage with supernatural horror in the Marvel Universe.

In "The Prowling," Captain America faces a monstrous transformation as he battles the Starwolf, a foe empowered by the Moonstone and fueled by cosmic might. With Wolverine and Moonhunter breaking free from Nightshade’s influence, and Cable arriving in the hidden werewolf city, the tide turns in a clash of wills and fangs. Written by Mark Gruenwald and illustrated by Rik Levins, with inks by Danny Bulanadi, colors by Gina Going, and letters by Joe Rosen, the cover by Rik Levins and Danny Bulanadi captures the raw intensity of a hero caught between man and beast.
