“The Beaten Path”

In "The Beaten Path," Captain America finds himself behind bars in a small-town jail after a violent clash with the relentless Americop, only to be sprung by a direct call from the President himself. With Americop still on a killing spree and Diamondback and Moonhunter captured by Damon Dran—where Sumo unexpectedly gives Rachel a quick haircut—Cap and Americop both converge on Dran’s mansion, setting the stage for a showdown that could change everything. Written by Mark Gruenwald and illustrated by Dave Hoover, with inks by Danny Bulanadi, colors by George Roussos, and letters by Joe Rosen, the cover by Dave Hoover captures the tension in a single, striking image.
