In "A Chama Das Profundezas (Parte 2)," the Sub-Mariner fights alongside the Avengers in a fiery clash against the Lava Men, a race of volcanic beings with a tragic past. Taken to their hidden realm, the team learns from Jinku, their enigmatic witch doctor, that the Lava Men were once a thriving people—now nearly extinct—whose creator, the demon Cha'Sa'Dra, was slain by the Avengers during the Inferno crisis. With Jinku determined to exact revenge, the heroes face a battle not just of strength, but of legacy and consequence.

In "Metamorfose (Parte 3)," as the Avengers struggle to bring down Jinku, the Lava Man, the reserve team races against time to prevent the Hydrobase from being destroyed by the crumbling bodies of the Lava Men on the surface. When unexpected golden-skinned Lava Men rise from the ruins, the tide of battle shifts—but not before the apparent death of the Eternal Gilgamesh leaves the team reeling.

In "Jornada (Parte 4)," Sue Richards and Magnum hold the line at the Hidrobase as the Avengers return with the aid of the newly transformed Men-Lava. Meanwhile, the Avengers seek Sersi’s help to address Gilgamesh’s deteriorating condition, even as Olympia—home of the Eternos—vanishes from the Greek plains, leaving behind only mystery.
