Quality Comics' teen humor series keeps the laughs coming in this December 1948 issue, where Candy strides confidently up a trail — hiking stick in hand, "C" belt buckle gleaming — while a thoroughly overwhelmed Ted staggers behind her under a comically enormous pack. Harry Sahle's breezy linework captures the gag perfectly: Candy's spirited taunt ("You're always trailing behind!") lands all the harder given how spectacularly Ted is proving her right. With 52 pages for just a dime, this is a cheerful slice of postwar teen comedy at its most charming.
