Detective Fallon arrives at the O'Connor home on an important matter and encounters Candy, who initially mistakes him for a criminal suspect. After Fallon explains his legitimate business, tension escalates when he and Mr. O'Connor argue about cooperating with police, culminating in a physical altercation. In a separate storyline, Candy daydreams about actress Lucretia Todd being stranded in a storm, imagining herself as the star's rescuer, while simultaneously learning that Todd has actually made a forced landing at Hartwick Airport and will be staying at a local hotel. When an actress named Cornelia arrives at the O'Connor house with her companions Ted and Dave, comedic chaos ensues as Cornelia injures herself and becomes the center of attention, with Candy suspicious of Dave's intentions.
