The main story follows Candy as she tries to win a dance contest by learning the Arthur Flurry dance from a studio in Blyville, hoping to impress a boy named Ted. After Candy receives dancing lessons and practices diligently, she becomes confident about her chances. However, her plans are disrupted when Ted reveals he has hired a baby sitter named Mrs. Pearsally for the night of the contest, leading to confusion and complications that ultimately result in Mrs. Pearsally being hired to work at Candy's house instead.
