Cable & Deadpool #46

The title of this 2007 issue gets a playful red-X makeover — "Cable &" is crossed out and replaced with "Fantastic Four," setting the tone for a crossover with plenty of personality. Skottie Young's cover delivers a cheerful, slightly absurd scene: Deadpool splashing around in a giant bathtub emblazoned with the team's "4" logo, surrounded by a bemused Mr. Fantastic, a towel-clutching Invisible Woman, the looming rocky mass of the Thing, and the Human Torch glowing behind them all. Fabian Nicieza and Reilly Brown bring these two corners of the Marvel universe together for "Eight to Save the Universe!" — which, if this cover is any indication, promises as many laughs as it does heroics.
