Cable and X-Force #4

Colossus fills the entire cover of this 2013 Marvel NOW! entry in an unsettling close-up — his metallic face twisted into a wide, menacing grin that makes it clear something has gone very wrong with the steel-skinned X-Man. Salvador Larroca and Frank D'Armata bring an almost photorealistic intensity to that chrome visage, rendered against a muted industrial backdrop that only heightens the unease. Dennis Hopeless's run on Cable and X-Force was already delivering sharp character work, and this issue promises Colossus front and center in whatever trouble the team has stirred up.
