Cable and X-Force #17

A towering, glassy-eyed villain looms over the cover of this 2014 Marvel series, his massive outstretched hand cradling tiny figures of Cable and his team — including a silver-armored Colossus, a white-haired figure, and others — while a massive monstrous creature blazes in the fiery background behind him. Salvador Larroca's cover composition does a great job of conveying the sheer scale of the threat facing X-Force, making the team look genuinely vulnerable against this overwhelming enemy. With Dennis Hopeless writing and Gerardo Sandoval on interior art, issue #17 promises the same kinetic, high-stakes energy that has made this run such a compelling read.
