Cable finds himself in an idealized future on Harmony (formerly Earth) where even mutation has been weeded out of the genetic pool. The residents of Harmony are attacked by their counterparts from another timeline, The Ranshi. Cable makes his way back to the present and tries to figure out the mess with the help of a human computer, Clarity. The Ranshi and Aentaros choose this moment to attack.
