Cable #24
This October 1995 X-Men Deluxe title delivers a raw, intense cover as the feral Grizzly looms menacingly over a clearly imperiled Domino, his clawed hands poised in a scene that lives up to the bold cover promise of a confrontation fought "To the Death!" Salvador Larroca's pencils and Joe Rubinstein's inks give both figures a visceral, kinetic energy — Grizzly's snarling, wild-maned presence pressing down on Domino's defiant expression makes for a genuinely gripping image. Jeph Loeb and Larroca's "Lost Souls" looks to be a tense chapter in Cable's mid-'90s saga, and this cover alone sets the stakes high.
