C. E. Murphy's Take a Chance #1
In "City of Heroes," C. E. Murphy and Ardian Syaf launch a grounded superhero story set in the aftermath of a global crisis: a North Korean virus that killed some, granted powers to others, and left a third group untouched. Frankie, a seasoned hero who survived the outbreak unscathed, finds herself at the center of a new world where power isn't everything—proving that experience and courage still matter. The issue’s bold visuals, crafted by Syaf and colored by Jason Embury, are framed by Scott Clark’s striking cover.

Last October, a North Korean virus got loose, killing some, giving others powers, and leaving a third group alone. Frankie had been in the hero business before the virus and is part of the group that was immune to the virus. Despite the proliferation of 'supers', she finds that there is still a need for a hero without powers who has experience.
