The beloved Belgian series by Laudec and Cauvin reaches its 25th volume with Qu'est-ce qu'il a ?, and the cover promises the kind of cheerful chaos the series does so well. A wild assortment of costumed kids — including a young Roman, an Egyptian queen, and a curly-haired boy in blue — surround a stumbling, wide-eyed older man who looks like he's had quite the shock, while a stubby donkey watches the whole scene unfold. It's a wonderfully absurd snapshot of the humor and heart that has kept Cédric going strong at Dupuis well into 2011.
