Volume 24 of the beloved Belgian series by Laudec and Cauvin arrives with a title that says it all — J'ai gagné! ("I won!"). The cover tells the story perfectly: a gleeful, freckle-faced Cédric leaps away in pure triumph, having apparently tossed aside his game controller, while behind him on the sofa a dark-haired boy and a scowling elderly man remain locked in fierce concentration over their own controllers, oblivious to his escape. It's a wonderfully energetic snapshot of the generational comedy and everyday mischief that has made this Dupuis series such a warm favorite since its early days.
