Buster Brown #43

A story set in Africa follows a maharajah's daughter who is killed by a gorilla at the hand of Hanuman the monkey god. When the maharajah seeks vengeance and learns the gorilla has fled to a village, he and his men pursue the beast. A white man who had previously encountered the gorilla in the great plains joins the hunt. During the chase, the white man is struck by a battle-snake and injured, prompting the maharajah's people to explain their reverence for the white puma and their belief in spiritual forces, before they prepare to continue their search at dawn.
