Buster Bear helps a man who has lost his fortune invested in consolidated carrots after the stock market crashes. Later, Buster's grandfather urges him not to stay out late at night, but Buster insists on going to a juke-box party with friends. When Buster and his grandfather argue about fishing the next morning, Buster must choose between sleeping in and getting an early start for a chance at salmon fishing. The story follows Buster's adventures with his grandfather and friends during a vacation outing.
