“De vijver moet blijven”

In "De vijver moet blijven," a mysterious drum of Chemical X-13 spills into Daffy Duck’s pond, triggering a bizarre transformation that sends fish, frogs, and even Daffy himself soaring to giant size. Written by Vic Lockman and Annelies de Groot and illustrated by Joe Messerli, this 1985 Juniorpress special sees Daffy testing his newfound stature in the rougher side of town—where power has its limits. The cover by Joe Messerli captures the chaos in bold, playful detail.

A drum containing "Chemical X-13", a growth formula, falls from a chemist's truck and into Daffy's pond. Fish, frogs, and turtles suddenly grow to large size, including Daffy himself. Daffy takes advantage of his increased size by going into the tough part of town to push some "big galoots" around. It works... for a while.
