Tall Paul Palmer is hypnotized at a carnival to think he is folk-legend lumberjack Paul Bunyan whenever he hears the word “trees”. Guess which little-guy-with-a-speech-impediment just happens to be the ranger responsible ("wanger wesponsible"?) for the national forest that Tall Paul decides to clear under his hypnotic delusion. Bugs does a good, and very characteristic, job of continually diverting Paul from his destructive task (as Bugs is wont to do), but the hypnosis keeps reasserting itself.
