Jason Aaron and Mahmud Asrar's Bug Wars continues its unsettling backyard odyssey with this third chapter, and Asrar's cover makes a strong case for what's at stake. A wide-eyed figure — splattered with green slime and surrounded by human skulls — reaches desperately toward the viewer while enormous mosquitoes and flies close in from every angle. Matthew Wilson's cold, murky palette gives the whole scene a queasy, otherworldly dread that pulls you right in.
