Buffy the Vampire Slayer #15

The "Lost Highway" chapter of Dark Horse's Buffy the Vampire Slayer series delivers a cover that puts the pedal to the metal on sheer dread: a snarling, glowing-eyed vampire lunges from above onto a speeding car, while the terrified driver and two wide-eyed passengers — one with red hair, one unmistakably blonde — can do little but brace for impact. Jeff Matsuda's pencils and Jon Sibal's inks give the scene a kinetic, almost cinematic energy that perfectly captures the high-stakes tension of issue #15. With Watson and Richards steering the interior and this gripping cover leading the way, the "Bad Blood" arc is clearly building toward something intense.
