Two young women — one brunette in a yellow top, one redhead clutching a stake — are trapped inside what appears to be a school locker bay, surrounded on all sides by snarling, red-eyed demons and monsters pressing in from every direction. Locker nameplates reading "Cordelia Chase" and "Buffy Summers" anchor the scene with a clever in-universe detail, making this cover by penciler Jeff Matsuda and inker Jon Sibal feel both grounded and genuinely menacing. Part four of the "Bad Blood" arc, this 1999 Dark Horse issue promises that the Slayer's world is getting very crowded — and very dangerous.
