# Buffalo Bill #8 The issue contains two stories. "Arrows of Death" depicts a siege in 1866 when Sioux Chief Red Cloud and his sub-chiefs, Crazy Horse and High Back-Bone, led warriors against white invaders after the discovery of gold drove the Redman out of Montana. "The Living Dead" follows Buffalo Bill as he visits the Blackfoot tribe for a funeral of Chief Swift Deer's son, killed by a rattlesnake, but the proceedings are interrupted when a ghostly, mysterious figure—identified as the devil dog Lobo—appears and causes chaos, leading Buffalo Bill and the tribesmen into conflict as they confront the strange supernatural threat.
