Buffalo Bill volunteers to guide dog handlers through hostile Indian territory to reach the frontier village of Grizzly Gap, which has been struck by a smallpox epidemic and urgently needs medical aid. When the group discovers the trail has been cut off, they must fight their way through attacking Native Americans and stampeding horses to reach the settlement and deliver the crucial serum. The issue also features "Grey Wolf," a story by Manny Stallman about an Indian named Grey Wolf and his wolf-companion Lobo who fight to recover a magical charm stolen by white silver-seekers from a Kiowa chieftain's camp.
