Buffalo Bill #2

Buffalo Bill encounters a drifter named Jim Wallace traveling to Fort Hays, where he warns the commandant, Colonel Bridges, that Gray Fox and his war party are crossing the plains and raiding wagon trains. Buffalo Bill assists in capturing Gray Fox after he raids a train, and later meets with Annie Oakley, who has come to compete in a rifle-shooting exhibition match against Tom Yerby for prize money. When Annie's husband Ed Slade and his gang kidnap Tom to prevent the competition, Buffalo Bill must help rescue him and ensure the match can proceed.
