This anthology issue contains at least two military adventure stories. "Assignment: Death!" follows Mike McClusky and Jon Wendall, members of a special helicopter unit aiding wounded soldiers at the Korean Front, as they navigate a chaotic mission involving vengeful soldiers and a masquerade plot. "Flash Flood!" depicts Sergeant Dan Loomis leading a Marine platoon north in an effort to reinforce an embattled Marine regiment at Shaigu, with the soldiers discussing their proximity to the enemy position while crossing flooded terrain.
