Captain Dragon and his crew engage in a fierce naval battle, with Dragon commanding his ship to sail into dangerous waters despite a rival captain's challenge. After defeating his enemy and rescuing his ally Patch from a rival vessel, Dragon discovers that his cousin Panchas Falconi has returned from the colonies with a secret plan to become wealthy. Dragon is subsequently hired as an assassin by the pirate Laskar to kill Falconi, but after learning of the plot, Dragon instead confronts Falconi and they part amicably. The issue concludes with Dragon and Black Roger battling a mysterious fire-breathing creature with iron-like skin that proves immune to conventional weapons and sword strikes.
