Linda wants Buck Warden, but Buck is dating Hallie Drew. Linda arranges a skating 'accident' to break up the pair. Hallie guesses that Linda is acting more hurt than she really is to get Buck's attention, but Buck believes Linda instead. When Buck hears the gossip about Linda's 'accident', Linda decides she can no longer lie to Buck and confesses to him. Buck tells Linda that he was planning to ask her out anyway and she didn't need tricks to date him.
