“Otherside”

DC's 2005 series Breach launches here with a striking cover by Marcos Martín that immediately establishes the book's unsettling tone: a pale, white-skinned figure with red-accented features charges forward mid-shout, his massive shadow form looming behind him in cool blue against a vivid red field. A pair of eerie red eyes peers up from the bottom of the image, and the tagline "Savior or Destroyer?" makes clear that this is a hero — or threat — whose nature is very much in question. Bob Harras scripts the opening chapter, "Otherside," with Martín's clean, design-forward art promising something thoughtful and distinct from DC's 2005 lineup.
