Boy Comics #53

Boy Illustories is an anthology featuring three main stories. In "A Ransom Note, a Dog, and Jerry Norton," a boy named Jerry is sent to a Boys' Village camp after behavioral issues; his father has regained consciousness and will live, and Jerry gains membership in the National Boys' Club where he meets Punchy, a dog he befriends. In "Dangerous Cargo," a costumed hero confronts criminals and kidnappers aboard a ship, engaging in combat to stop their schemes and rescue captives. The third story, "Are Tough Guys Really Tough?," features action and conflict among characters in what appears to be a criminal or dramatic scenario involving guns and confrontations.
