“The Long Arm of Justice”

In "The Long Arm of Justice," Iron Jaw—fresh from a botched plastic surgery—sets his sights on revenge, manipulating Sniffer with a false promise of oil wealth and tricking him with forged money. With his new face turning heads, even Lucy finds herself drawn to him, complicating the already tangled web of deceit. Written by Charles Biro and illustrated by Bill Overgard, this 1954 tale of schemes and second chances features a cover by Charles Biro himself, capturing the drama in bold, expressive lines.

Iron Jaw visits the plastic surgeon who fixed his face in a rather horrible way and demands that he fixes his face nicely this time around. Once done, Iron Jaw seeks out Sniffer to get revenge by convincing Sniffer that his wealthy uncle left him an oil well, then getting Sniffer to sell him the well. Sniffer agrees and Iron Jaw scams the lad with fake money. To make matters worse, Iron Jaw's new face charms Lucy into falling for him!
