This anthology issue features a story about a young man named Tommy who becomes caught in gambling debts after a poker game with an older man named Ted Duncan. When Tommy cannot repay the thirty dollars he owes by Friday, Duncan threatens to run him out of town. Tommy's desperation leads him to a warehouse where spies and criminals are conducting sabotage operations, and he becomes entangled in their dangerous schemes while trying to escape his gambling troubles. The story climaxes with action at the warehouse as Tommy attempts to thwart the criminal plot and prove himself a patriot rather than a criminal.
