Booster Gold #10

Dan Jurgens and Mike DeCarlo's cover for this November 1986 issue puts Booster Gold right in the thick of it — caught mid-brawl between a menacing armored villain in blue and pink and a pair of spiked, mechanical robots, while his trusty hovering drone zips overhead. The villain's taunting speech bubble — "Destroy my robots, Booster — and then I CAN'T lose!" — sets up a deliciously tricky dilemma that makes turning to the interior irresistible. With "Death Grip of the 1000" as the story's title, this is mid-series Booster Gold firing on all cylinders.
