Body Doubles #2

The second chapter of this four-part DC miniseries arrives in November 1999, with a cover by penciler Joe Phillips and inker Jasen Rodriguez that sets a confident, intergalactic tone. Dominating the foreground is a striking, red-haired alien woman in a green-and-gold bodysuit, posed boldly against a starfield with Earth hovering in the background, while a dark-haired woman in glasses looms large in the lower corner amid a collage of film-strip panels hinting at the story's wider cast. Writers Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning bring their signature energy to "Hot Water," and with artists Phillips and Rodriguez on interior duties as well, this miniseries has a polished, cohesive look throughout.
