Vertigo's multi-era murder mystery reaches its fifth chapter with a cover by Brian Bolland that's quietly unsettling — two identical mustachioed Victorian gentlemen in formalwear stand side by side, eyes closed, while a ghostly skull looms in the darkness behind them, and one figure cradles a pocket watch bearing a strangely organic eye. The doubled figures and that lurking skull give the image an eerie, duplicitous weight that fits perfectly with a series weaving the same body across four different time periods. Si Spencer's "Confession" arc, brought to life by artists Phil Winslade, Meghan Hetrick, Dean Ormston, and Tula Lotay, continues to make Bodies one of Vertigo's most ambitious and atmospheric reads of 2015.
