Bob Colt faces a giant dinosaur-like monster in "The Mesa of Mystery" after a gang of robbers led by the outlaw Jackal takes shelter at a hidden ranch. When Bob attempts to capture the criminals, he discovers the prehistoric creature guarding the mesa and must use his wits and guns to survive its attacks while pursuing the fleeing outlaws. In "Strange Revenge," a secondary story, an aging gunsmith named Dad becomes entangled in a deadly feud between two professional gun sharks, Bill Riggs and Tom Sloan, who are determined to kill each other in the town of Little Gap.
