Navy sailors are being murdered, suffocated by a plastic film that Navy was developed in secret, and each marked with a dead black black widow spider. Mike is given the case, but Dan and Joan stumble across the next victim. When Mike and Joan are captured it's up to the Blue Beetle to find the crooks with help from the local entomologist's club.
