Part of DC Universe Rebirth's 2017 relaunch, this fourth issue of Blue Beetle delivers a cover that crackles with raw energy — Jaime Reyes, wide-eyed and open-mouthed, reaches desperately toward the glowing scarab as lightning and debris explode around him. The scarab itself dominates the foreground in striking blue and gold, its alien geometry radiating an almost overwhelming power. Scott Kolins's linework, colored vividly by Romulo Fajardo Jr., perfectly captures the tension between a teenager and the extraordinary force bonded to him.
