Bloodshot Reborn #3
Lewis LaRosa's cover composition for this 2016 Valiant volume has the commanding sweep of a movie poster — Bloodshot, glowing red-eyed and armed, thrusts a pistol directly toward the viewer while a cast of allies and adversaries loom large in the background, and a dystopian cityscape below swarms with armored vehicles and airborne figures in blue and gold. Jeff Lemire's "The Analog Man" arc promises a grittier, more expansive chapter for Valiant's white-skinned super-soldier, and the sheer density of characters and threats framed here suggests the stakes have been raised considerably. Brian Reber's warm-to-cold color shift — burnt orange faces above, icy blue wastelands below — gives the whole image a tense, cinematic atmosphere that makes this a compelling entry point into the run.
