Bloodshot Reborn #1
Mico Suayan's stark, largely monochromatic cover says everything about where Bloodshot finds himself in 2015: a lone man walks away from us down an empty road, framed by dark conifers and a deep crimson sun, while his shadow stretches forward to reveal the familiar red-circle silhouette of the soldier he used to be. Jeff Lemire and Suayan launch "Colorado" as a quietly haunting character study, with David Baron's restrained color palette — all drained grays punctuated by that bleeding red — setting a mood that feels closer to noir thriller than superhero action. It's a compelling, confident opening image for a series clearly aiming to dig beneath the nanites.
